Underappreciated

Sometimes we do not appreciate what we can have

And all of a sudden we bite into grass

Because we feel sour coming up from our stomach

Caused by letting our heart be attacked

By our brain that knows our match

And sorts out our feelings to stay unattached

It's a funny game we play now and then

To keep the adrenaline high and fun

Guessing how far we might can go

And let ourselves be caught at the end of the flow

When the river floats into the sea

There comes up this tiny breeze

Floating over our naked skin

And wakes us up from a dream

Not an aspiration we go for

No, this is more a wake up call for sure

To bring us a clear sky from far

That can be painted new to cure

All our fears of loss and sorrow

We want the sky to send us dreams to borrow

So that we can learn from new

What is meant to be true

And finally we make the road to the lake

Where it's all calm for God's sake
