VISUAL ART
COLLAGE ART
Making artwork with my hands has always been a great passion of mine. From folding to architectural drawing to collaging. The details make everything for me.
It's not always the big picture that speaks to me, makes contact - it's the subtle, almost invisible things that I admire.I like to address issues that I think are important and that I can express better through art than putting them into words.
Sometimes it's just an expression, sometimes I leave an impression, and sometimes I give a clear description. That's why there are both muddled visual representations and very clear illustrations. Just as nothing in life is ever completely clear and predictable, so it is with my art.

PHOTOGRAPHY
For me, looking through the lens of a camera means cutting out a tiny section of a large image and putting it into a frame.

In fact, we always see only a section of what is. It's always a question of perspective. And that's how I use the medium of photography.
I can never see everything that is there. But a part of it lets me guess what else might be there around it. A photograph can make you dream. It can depict a very different world than it actually is.
What do you see?
MOVIE MAKING
Moving images move. They usually combine images with sound and trigger feelings.

For me, a moving image is like a long-term photograph. As with photography, with film I see only a section of the big picture.

I'm fascinated by the way you can work with directions of movement, transitions, breaks and zooms. In film, too, it's often the details that matter to me. Creating cutaway images and fitting them into a rhythm is like putting together a puzzle.
Film is an attempt to capture a real moment or to artistically portray just the opposite.
